A conglomerate of right-wing talkers are headed to Iraq to report the "truth" that the U.S. is winning the War in Iraq. They're calling it a "Truth Tour". Because, as they claim, the media isn't telling the "truth" about the war in Iraq, so it's up to these parrots to set the record straight.
That's funny. I could have sworn that the media wasn't covering the war. Hell, the president told us that it was practically over a couple of years ago. The Veep told us about a month or so ago that the insurgency was in its "last throes". So, these parrots are going to tell us that apparently there's still a war, but we're winning it and it should be over soon.
Soon meaning by 2020, of course.
How droll. How very droll of them.
Basically, I already know what they're going to do: theyre going to head over to military bases in a so-called "safe" zone, nowhere near the theater of combat, and tell all of the sycophants who listen to them, "See? We told you we're winning! See? SEE? Look, we're winning the war! The media is lying to you! Bush was right! We're making progress! SEE!?"
See what? All I see is a bunch of talkers going over there to continue the same crap that they do on a regular basis, only this time sanctioned by the very government whose asses their lips are attached to. And we may not know whose paying for these trips, but…one would guess that if they're headed to military bases to conduct interviews with Armed Forces Personnel, Uncle Sam is using your money in part or in whole to subsidize these bunch of kissasses.
Of course, they're claiming that they're paying their own way. Yeah, sure you are, you parrots. Who the hell pays $15,000 to go to a war? 15 GRR? To go into a war zone? On purpose? To tell the "truth" that the media won't? The only thing that these losers have paid for is the first class trip to Tampa, where this "tour" starts off…with a barbecue at MacDill AFB. If it weren't propaganda, and it were a real truthtelling mission, then why would you need to go to Tampa Bay and eat grilled chicken and hot dogs? I don't think you're going to be revealing any truth by eating steaks and dousing beers, people.
