We Don’t Need Another O.J. Story

Here’s the deal–the networks were expecting a riot; hell, they were pushing for riots. It’s likely it might have happened, and it’s part of the reason O.J. got off in the first place. Alongside, of course, the Fuhrman tapes, the worst prosecutors money could buy (Darden & Clark, legal aces), and one of the longest criminal trials in world history. It was a joke then, and it’s even more a joke now–except nothing’s funny, everyone’s a fame whore (especially O.J. and Fred), and none of these jokers are relevant anymore.

Memo to Michael Steele: you may be black, and you may be a Republican, but you will always remain, at least in my view, a weasel and a phony. No black person I know would have stood for these types of shenanigans. Not one. When effing Jack Johnson is calling you out, and he’s one of the most corrupt politicians I’ve ever seen, that can’t ever be good.

What The S.F.? Niners Contemplate Move

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that franchise owner John York plans to negotiate first with Santa Clara before considering other sites (read: L.A. area) in California. However, their lease at Candlestick (Monster/3Com/Whatever-the-hell-ever) Park expires in 2008. And what, you ask, is in Santa Clara? Other than Steve Nash’s old alma mater? Or the 49ers’ Headquarters, which was completed in 1988? Well…there is this amusement park.
